TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT CONTINUED
5. Rotate tires 180 degrees so that V marks are facing rearward and align with center line of front axle (as mea-
sured from ground) and repeat step 4.
6. Toe-in is correct if measurement from step 4 is 0 to 3/16 in. (5 mm) less than the measurement from step 5.
NOTE
Toe-in is adjusted by turning both tie rods equally. The procedure for tie rod adjustment is
identical for left-hand and right-hand tie rods. Left-hand tie rod is shown in this procedure.
7. Turn inner tie rod threaded shaft (Figure 12, Item 1) in or out as needed to adjust toe-in.
8. Tighten jamnut (Figure 12, Item 2) to tie rod end (Figure 12, Item 3) and inner tie rod threaded shaft
(Figure 12, Item 1).
