8. Attach sling and lifting device to backhoe control valve assembly.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support during
procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load
capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Backhoe control valve assembly weighs 125 lb (57 kg).
Remove plugs and caps from hydraulic hoses and fittings.
9. Using lifting device and with assistance, install backhoe control valve assembly on machine.
10. Loosely install nut (Figure 11, Item 3) and bolt (Figure 11, Item 2) on backhoe control valve assembly
(Figure 11, Item 1).
11. Loosely install nut (Figure 11, Item 4) and bolt (Figure 11, Item 5) on backhoe control valve assembly
(Figure 11, Item 1).
12. Remove lifting device and sling from backhoe control valve assembly.
