STARTER CRANKS CONTINUOUSLY (Cont).Step 2.Move red test clip of test probe cable W2 to starter relay terminalto which violet-black wire is connected (second terminal from left).Move black test clip of test probe cable W2 to starter relay termi-nal to which ground wire is connected (third terminal from left) .Press and release TEST button.Turn ignition key switch to off position; VTM should display zero.Turn ignition key switch to on position; VTM should display zero.Turn ignition key switch to off position.a. If VTM displays zero, replace starter relay (page 5-26).b. If VTM displays 24 volts , check for short circuit in wiring con-nection between ignition key switch connector ST terminal, neu-t r a l s t a r t s w i t c h , a n d s t a r t e r r e l a y t e r m i n a l .
