Beneath cab deck, remove nut (1)
and lock washer (2); disconnect
b a l l j o i n t ( 3 ) f r o m l e v e r ( 4 ) .
If a new cable assembly (5) has been
i n s t a l l e d , t u r n n u t ( 6 ) a n d b a ll
joint (3) on to threaded shaft of
cable assembly as far as possible and
t i g h t e n n u t ( 6 ) a g a i n s t b a l l j o i n t;
if cable assembly (5) is used, turn
nut (6) and ball joint (3) to mid -
point of threaded shaft of cable as -
sembly (5) and tighten nut (6)
a g a i n s t b a l l j o i n t.
Install ball joint (3) in lever (4) and secure with lock washer (2) and
n u t ( l ).

At transmission control valve, remove cotter pin (7) and clevis pin (8).
