TM 5-3805-262-34 3-30. BUCKET LIFT ARMS AND PIVOT ASSEMBLIES MAINTENANCE (CONT) c. Lift Cylinder Assemblies Pivot Shaft (Cont). REMOVAL (1) (2) Using hammer and 2-7/8 inches diameter by 50 inches long cylinder assemblies pivot shaft from front chassis. Have port driving end of rod until pivot shaft is driven into rod, drive lift assistant sup- chassis. Then have assistant move to opposite side to support pivot shaft as it is driven out. If necessary to replace bushings, use hammer and cold chisel to split bushings from front to back. Then use slip joint pliers to remove bush- ings from bores. 3-778
