The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore
these created diagnostic codes and clear these diagnostic codes when
original diagnostic code is corrected. Ensure diagnostic code CID 1406
FMI 03 is active before performing this procedure.
1. Check solenoid energizer circuit for a short
to +battery circuit.
(a) Turn engine start and battery
disconnect switches to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-291-10).
(b) Disconnect wiring harness connectors
from clutch 6-1st solenoid (WP 0203
00) and powertrain ECM (WP 0063
00).
(c) At wiring harness connector for ECM,
