16. Remove cotter pin (Figure 7, Item 6), separate linkage (Figure 7, Item 5) from pedal assembly (Figure 7, Item
1), and remove linkage from machine. Discard cotter pin.
17. Remove bolt (Figure 7, Item 7), washer (Figure 7, Item 8), spring (Figure 7, Item 3), sleeve (Figure 7, Item 4),
nut (Figure 7, Item 2), and pedal (Figure 7, Item 1) from machine.
18. Remove spring (Figure 7, Item 3) from pedal (Figure 7, Item 1).

1. Clean all parts (except rubber and plastic surfaces) and mating surfaces with solvent cleaning compound.
