INSTALLATION CONTINUED
WARNING
Engine coolant is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury to personnel.
NOTE
Remove plug or cap from hose end and open port.
Install hose as noted during removal.
14. Install two new O-rings (Figure 16, Items 5 and 7) and bypass tube (Figure 16, Item 6) on cylinder head
(Figure 16, Item 4).
15. Install two bolts (Figure 16, Item 8) on bypass tube (Figure 16, Item 6). Tighten bolts to 192 lb-IN. (22 Nm).
16. Apply pipe thread sealant to hose connector (Figure 16, Item 3) threads.
17. Install hose connector (Figure 16, Item 3) on cylinder head (Figure 16, Item 4).
18. Install hose (Figure 16, Item 1) on hose connector (Figure 16, Item 3). Tighten clamp (Figure 16, Item 2)
