REASSEMBLY (SHEET 6 OF 12)(f) Check for free rack (48) movementand time gear segment (46) teethto rack teeth. Do this by shininga pen light into housing. Moverack and check that first toothof gear segment is in first notchof rack. If necessary, disengagegear segment from rack and repo-sition gear segment with controlsleeve (43) attached on rack.Check that gear segment (andsleeve) travels its full range onrack.(g) Repeat steps (a) through (f)above to install remaining fivecontrol sleeves (43) and gearsegments (46).NOTEAll control sleeve (43) slotsmust face outward when rack ismoved to position gear segments(46) in approximate center oftheir respective notches in rack.In this position, control sleeveslots should be facing outwarda ndscrew(45) should beapproximately centered aboveslot. If necessary, loosen screw(45) and turn control sleeve toreposition it.(12) Install six upper seats (44)and springs (42).(13) Install plungers (40) withlower seats (41) using plungerpliers.
