10. LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE (Cont).
Step 6. (Cont).
b. If foreign matter is not present on oil suction tube screen, go
to step 7 below.
Step 7.
Remove oil pump (page 3-91).
Check that O-ring between oil pump and oil gal
not damaged.
Iery is present and
a. If O-ring is missing or damaged, install new O-ring and
reinstall oil pump (page 3-94). Be sure to check backlash when
installing oil pump as described in page 3-95.
b. If O-ring is okay, go to step 8 below.
Step 8. Inspect oil pump for cracks, nicked or missing gear teeth, or other
damage.
a. If oil pump is damaged, forward to general support maintenance
for repair (page 4-74).
b. If oil pump is okay, go to step 9 below (notify general support
maintenance) .
