Clean, inspect, and flush hydraulic system IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0172).

Lubricate all seals and rings in clean hydraulic oil before installation.
1. Install new seal (Figure 3, Item 11) on cover (Figure 3, Item 12).
C AU T I O N
Make sure that copper side of wear plate is facing gears. Failure to do so may damage
equipment.
2. Install new pre-load ring (Figure 3, Item 10), new load seal (Figure 3, Item 13), new seal (Figure 3, Item 9), and
new wear plate (Figure 3, Item 14) on cover (Figure 3, Item 12).
3. Install new seal (Figure 3, Item 2) and new wear plate (Figure 3, Item 1) on cover (Figure 3, Item 3).
4. Install drive shaft (Figure 3, Item 5) and idler shaft (Figure 3, Item 7) on gear plate (Figure 3, Item 6).
5. Make sure meshed teeth marks on drive shaft (Figure 3, Item 5) and idler shaft (Figure 3, Item 7) are properly
aligned.
6. Install two dowel pins (Figure 3, Item 8) on gear plate (Figure 3, Item 6).
7. Assemble cover (Figure 3, Item 12), gear plate (Figure 3, Item 6), and cover (Figure 3, Item 3). Secure with
eight bolts (Figure 3, Item 4) and torque to 301 lb-in. (34 Nm).
