STEERING PRESSURE COMPENSATOR VALVE ADJUSTMENT

CAUTION
Do not perform this procedure unless directed here from troubleshooting or a repair
procedure. Failure to follow this caution may result in an improper diagnosis.
1. Remove left lower cab access panels (WP 0347).
2. Loosen locknut (Figure 16, Item 2) on steering pressure compensator valve (Figure 16, Item 3).
3. Turn adjustment screw (Figure 16, Item 1) clockwise to increase pressure and counterclockwise to decrease
pressure. Make adjustment to increase or decrease pressure recorded in Steering High Pressure Stall Test in
this work package.
4. Tighten locknut (Figure 16, Item 2) on steering pressure compensator valve (Figure 16, Item 3).
5. Perform Steering High Pressure Stall Test in this work package to check setting.
6. Repeat this procedure until correct pressure is recorded in Steering High Pressure Stall Test in this work
package or it is found that correct pressure cannot be adjusted.
7. Install left lower cab access panels (WP 0347).
